Finishing equipment supplier Duplo has found itself in notable company after being nominated for the Chartered Institute of Marketing excellence awards.

　　The UK arm of the Japanese owned business has been nominated in the construction, engineering, manufacturing and utilities category alongside Coca-Cola's bottling business.

　　It has been nominated for the marketing campaign around its Alpha Saddle, which saw representatives dressed in tuxedos and ball gowns visiting printers across the UK.

　　Marketing manager Peter Jolly said: "We are absolutely delighted to be nominated for such a prestigious marketing award. To be nominated in the same category as Coca Cola, is a major honour for not only Duplo but the whole industry I think. It is a credit to the whole organisation as everyone from all areas of the business was involved in the Alpha launch project."

　　The awards take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 15 February 2011.
