Amcor has appointed Ron Delia as its new chief financial officer commencing February 1 next year after Leslie Desjardins, the current CFO, announced she had decided to leave Amcor to pursue other interests.
Delia joined Amcor in September 2005 in the role of general manager operations development and is currently general manager rigid plastics - Central and South America.
According to Amcor, Delia was previously a member of the Amcor Global Management Team and was instrumental in the initial establishment of a number of pivotal organisational programmes focused on sales and marketing, capital management and IT. Ron was based first in Melbourne and later in Brussels during his time in that role.
In his current role, Ron has been successful in his leadership of that business, notably in improving commercial and operational performance as well as building capability and talent in the region, according to Amcor.
