IIR Exhibitions announces IPEX 2006 advisory committee

As planning gets underway for IPEX 2006, which will take place from 4 - 11 April 2006 at the NEC, Birmingham, organisers IIR Exhibitions has announced the formation of a new advisory group for the event.

Exhibitions Director Trevor Crawford explains: "It is invaluable for us to be able to work closely with the industry as we start to shape IPEX 2006. The new IPEX Advisory Committee (IAC) brings together the broadest range of parties, which combine to cover all interests under the IPEX umbrella. The committee comprises both suppliers and visitor groups who will meet regularly to provide us with feedback on our plans and supply their own input over the next three years to help us develop the most successful IPEX ever."

Laurence Roberts, Managing Director of Agfa-Gevaert UK and President of IPEX 2006, will chair the IPEX Advisory Committee. In addition to IIR Exhibitions, the committee comprises senior representatives from AD Communications, Creo, Fulmar, Heidelberg, KBA, Kodak Polychrome Graphics, Komori, Muller Martini, Picon, Prova Digital, Russell-Webb, St Ives and Xerox.

The inaugural meeting took place at Agfa-Gevaert?s UK headquarters in Brentford on 20th May 2003. The meeting began with a review of IPEX 2002, followed by a presentation of some preliminary research for 2006 and concluded with an open forum to identify issues and opportunities for future research and discussion.
