Ryobi to give European launch of new B2 press at Ipex

Press manufacturer Ryobi will debut its B2 750G press for the first time in Europe at next month's Ipex.

The new model in the 750 Series range boasts an increased speed of 16,000sph and incorporates a number of features from Ryobi's B1 press, such as a collapsible skeleton transfer drum and an air glide plate system to ensure that thicker substrates are smoothly fed through the machine.

This, along with double-diameter impression cylinders and transfer drums for stable paper transport, makes the 750G more suitable for packaging work, Ryobi said.

The press is supplied with a new high-grade feeder, and includes Ryobi's semi-automatic plate system Semi-RPC as standard. According to Ryobi, this means the operator just sets plates on positioning pins and presses a button to automate mounting.

Full-RPC is also available as an option where both plate mounting and removal are fully automated on all printing units from the off-press control system, and a full plate change takes around four and a half minutes.

The 750G is available in 765x545mm and 756x580mm print area models and can handle substrates ranging from 0.04mm onion skin to 0.8mm cardboard. It can be configured with between two and 10 printing units, and perfecting options are also available.

Neil Handforth, sales and marketing director of UK distributor Apex Digital Graphics, said: "The machine on show at Ipex will be a five-colour plus coater configuration.

"We are looking forward to introducing Ipex visitors to the latest enhancements to the range. Both Apex and Ryobi are delighted to be showing off a wide range of presses on the stand. In spite of what some exhibitors imagine, that is what visitors come to a show for."

The 750G will be on show at Ipex alongside stablemate the 785E – a small-footprint B2 press that will be launched into the UK at the event.
