HP is to showcase systems from HP Scitex, HP Speciality Printing Systems (HP SPS) and from its partners during the Fachpack 2009 exhibition in Germany on 29 September-1 October.
HP's stand will feature information about the company's Indigo digital presses for labels, flexible packaging, shrink-sleeve, and folding-carton applications.
The Indigo WS6000 digital press is said to have an enhanced thick substrate capability and can handle materials from 12-450 micron, making folding-carton production on final substrates, for short runs or trialling, cost-effective.
The Scitex FB6700 printer with in-line laminator will be on display on the HP stand.
This six-colour printer uses standard-format artwork files to print a range of rigid applications, including point-of-purchase and point-of-sale displays, samples, short-run packaging and exhibition graphics.
Using water-based inks, the Scitex FB6700 is said to produce up to 29 1.6 x 3.2m (5.2 x 10.5ft) sheets per hour.
A Kongsberg XP 24 digital cutting table, from EskoArtwork will also be on the stand to demonstrate the versatility and productivity of a fully digital production line, added HP.
Teams from two HP Scitex FB6700 printer owners, Pankarte PLV and STI Group will print six authentic jobs from customers in on-stand demonstrations.
HP SPS's OEM partners will be on the HP stand at Fachpack to demonstrate systems for 2D barcode printing using HP thermal inkjet technology.
Weber Marking Systems and Mark-O-Print will be printing on non-porous substrates using UV-curable ink from Triton.
Wolke Inks and Printer will demonstrate its system for printing on primary packaging using HP's Universal Black ink.
HS Automatic will show its system for printing on secondary corrugated packaging.
