KBA Asia Pacific has moved to bigger premises at the Sunway Damansara Technology Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the company has expanded its 14-strong sales and service team.
The premises will also provide a new spare-parts store and a workshop.
Training facilities will soon be available for customers throughout south-east Asia.
The company said it has developed close ties with many sectors of the Malaysian print market and has supplied presses to the security print, metal decorating, UV offset, industrial ID and newspaper markets.
KBA Asia Pacific's client base includes The New Straits Times Press (NSTP), whose Commander press lines print Malaysia's leading newspaper, and KHL Printing, where a single-width Comet is in operation.
The commercial and packaging sectors have a range of Rapida sheetfed presses.
After working with regional agents for many years, in 1997 KBA set up its own subsidiary, KBA Asia Pacific, to support the web market.
The Kuala Lumpur office was followed in 2002 by a sheetfed counterpart, KBA Singapore, and as sales grew the Kuala Lumpur operation also created a dedicated sheetfed service team.
