Print 09 will host EFI's print-management software

EFI will display new modules for its print-management information software systems at the Print 09 exhibition, to be held from 11-16 September in Chicago.

EFI will also introduce the Fiery Command Workstation 5 centralised job-management system at the event, as well as enhancements to its Vutek and Rastek superwide and wide-format printers.

These demonstrations will show how EFI's newest printers increase productivity while providing photo-realistic colour.

EFI will also highlight its workflow systems, including Print MIS, web-to-print and Fiery software.

EFI said that its print-management applications (Pace, Monarch, Printsmith) respond to the needs of specific market segments, ranging from small quick printers; large multi-location commercial and publication shops; online, sign and packaging businesses; and in-plant operations.

At Print 09, EFI will introduce its MIS/JDF workflow integration and launch its Web Control Centre, a web-based colour management and workflow system.

Web Control Centre combines centralised colour management to ensure accurate colour reproduction, with the ability to remotely proof and print through geographically dispersed printing centres.

The Vutek GS super-wide print systems, including the GS5000r, move super-wide UV printing from limited outdoor applications, such as billboards, banners and wraps, to event and transit signage and informational signage.

It can now be used for indoor applications such as point-of-purchase (POP) tradeshow displays and wall decorations.

The GS3200 can print fine art, photography, high-definition or colour-critical POP displays.

The GS2000 prints eight colours, as well as white.

EFI will also showcase its QS Series 2 inks, which improve performance and address common UV ink issues such as shrinking, peeling, embossing, chipping and curling.

  The Rastek printers on display will include the H650 64in UV Hybrid, H700 72in UV Hybrid, T660 5 x 4ft (127 x 101.6mm) Flatbed and T1000 8 x 4ft Flatbed.

The Jetrion 4000 UV Inkjet System provides label converters with a full-colour narrow web alternative to toner-based digital printers for label runs of up to 50,000 labels and beyond.

Fiery Command Workstation 5 (CWS5) centralises job management via a flexible interface that produces jobs faster, while reducing operator error and decreasing waste.

Fiery CWS5 simplifies complex jobs such as variable-data printing projects.
