Eindhoven-based Exposize has installed the Netherlands' first GS2000 to beef up production for major Nike campaign.
The machine, which was installed earlier this year at the 28-staff company, replaced a GS200 printer and was "up and running in three days" according to director Eric Verkerk.
"We needed more capacity," he said. "And this was five or six times faster."
The machine was put to work producing 10mm banners for window displays as well as 1m-wide roll magnets which are then cut on Zund machines. It means staff can quickly and safely change campaigns in store, said Verkerk.
The GS2000 joins a host of other hardware at the company including two flatbeds, 3m die-sub machines, and a 3m latex and HP 6100 printers.
Verkerk said: "the average age of our equipment is two to three years - we always choose the highest quality and capacity, which is why we needed the GS2000."
The company produces a range materials for the retail, trade show, and interior graphics markets for the likes of BMW, Nike and large architectural firms.
The GS2000 can print at 185.8sqm per hour at dual resolutions of true 600dpi or 1000dpi and can handle substrates 203.2 cm wide and up to 5.08cm thick.
